I found this chair today in the Belleville park while walking along the trail with my camera :) I think it's really interesting how some people turn trees into chairs as I have only seen it once before in Picton (close by town)

...anyway's, just sharing.

Beautiful Maternity Pics...with a bit of nudity

I LOVE photographing maternity sessions. I would almost say they are my favorite session but I don't want you to think that I don't love all the other work I do :)

So again, if you know me....no faces in these images for the blog.

OK, so I've been gone for awhile and if anyone wants to know why feel free to email me and I'll fill you in but it's a bit personal to blog about.

So, what have I been up to....

Well, last night I kept busy with a church group of children on a field trip to a police station. Anyone in my area -- I had no idea how big our station is inside.

Big news -- David Jay knows I'm alive!!! He not only emailed me (I'm on his email list) but he wrote on my facebook page :) David Jay saying anything to me is like....I can't even describe it....it's super AMAZING. And, if your a photographer you MUST know David Jay. And if you don't you need to know so check him out. Oh, and his blog I check it everytime I'm on the computer :)

Pics to come soon -- I promise!

Oh, and if you have a facebook page, look me up. You know my name :)

4 days without posting - shameful, I know! It's been a busy/horrible weekend. Today it either gets better or worse but I'll keep everyone updated.

It's raining today and I still have not had the chance to use the wide angle yet, but I got word that my friend may be even longer in England so I may have some more time....although I do hope he comes back soon. Hi Stephan! (he checks in here)

Anyway's I hope to catch up tomorrow with everyone and post a few pics....maternity or engagement -- not sure yet :) but one of the two.

Playing with CS2

I have a wide angle lens that I borrowed from a friend for 7 days but then he flew to England so really it will be 20 days I have the lens before I give it back now, and I STILL haven't taken it out yet. The scenery just isn't there in all my mucky weather :(

But I did take out my zoom lens for a few close-ups around home -- cropping out the muck.
This is Sundance coming to say hi to me over the fence:
and here she poses for me :)
And here we have Hershey who also poses well for the camera but only after he jumps around barking -- which also make for fun photos. He is about 10 years old and is farily new to the farm.
This is part of the view I get from my desk....except I can see 8 bird houses. Well, 9 if I spin my chair around.

While some of my other blogger friends are posting their spring time photos of kids in grass and on swings....I just wanted to share mine:
OK, so I'm not really feeling the spring yet when my son can still build a snowman after school, lol. But I'll have grass very soon again....I hope :)

I have been blog tagged by Tanya so my mission from her is to post 10 photos of things that drive me crazy. I've posted more then 10 photos but here are my 10 things that drive me crazy:
Number 1 - Dealing with Carpal Tunnel from hours of holding my awesome photo gear that I love. Carpal :( photo gear :))

Number 2 -snowstorms that prevent me from going to work. It only happend once this year :) and it wasn't a photo job I missed :))
Number 3 - Arguments over Canon vs Nikon -- can't we just all get along???
Number 4 -when I can't find any lipchap but I have so many tubs....not sure where they all go????
Number 5 - Arguments over film vs digital. Does this look like fun??? I think not! Digital!!! :)

Number 6 - When Tim's makes me runny Ice Caps. Yes, I fell off the no Ice Cap wagon, but I didn't have one today and I won't but I am drinking a coke right now :( But I had carrot juice this a.m after I went to the gym :) Anyway's, I had my photo friend Gerri on the phone with me just this week and I was getting a runny Ice Cap, but I sent it back. I'm a Ice Cap snob :0

Number 7 -Speeding tickets...and that's all I'll say about that...my fault, I know

Number 8 - People with camera who think they are photographers and then open up a biz....I have good number of these people in my area. They have zero knowledge on proper exposure, shot in auto and then take on weddings for money, but blow out the wedding dresses. Weddings are important -- don't fake photography!

Number 9 - When I feel there is not enough time in the day and I have a long to-do-list for the day...oh, and then of course when I don't get it all done

Number 10 - Most of all why is Remembrance day not a holiday in Ontario??? It is in other provinces. I think it's a very important part of history

Now I get to go tag someone else....mmmmmm, who is it going to be :)

Sarah & Chris Married March 17th

I was sooooo excited to wake up yesterday morning with new snow covering the ground on my March 17th wedding!!! It was a bit yucky the day before with mud and dead grass to fill the background of photos....yeah snow!!!
This wedding took place at a cute little church in South Bay, Prince Edward County. I love the church as there are great angles for photographing the bride and groom...yes, it's all about the angles :) I just love the County -- beautiful!

The reception took place at the Warring House in Picton and we did step outside for a few more photos since the grounds are so stunning.

OK, worst cake ever, and I can say this without upsetting the bride or groom because they saved they cake to take back to the decorator who charged $300 for what looked like a plate of cellulite. The cake was about an inch high and lumpy all over. What a disappointment for the couple. The Warring House pulled through with a cake of their own which was great of them :)
The cake decorator is from the county

Just soooo CUTE!!!

I actually had them rehearse this pose in the studio before we went outside....yes, rehearsal for engagement photos, LOL!

Funny Wedding Commercial

Any brides out there feel they can relate???
I thought this was pretty funny :)

I went to the Leafs vs Senators game last night in Ottawa and as you can see I'm Leafs fan --but they didn't play well last night. This was my first time going to a hockey game and I learnt two things:

1. The men's washrooms has a line to get into where the woman's washroom there is no line...something I've never seen before

2. Hockey fans are like photographers.

Listening to Senator fans bash the Leafs reminded me a lot of film photographers bashing us up to date on our education digital users ;)

We had a little party at our house last weekend that I am just getting around to sharing where Sans Souci catered and the food was delicious!!! Thanks Greg for everything! He came to the farm, set up and everything was amazing :) I've worked with Greg before at weddings and I just love how he informs everyone of what is on the menu before we help ourselves.

The purpose of the party was to welcome a new Pediatrician to town so our guest list included several local Doctors, President of Quinte Health Care, President of the Professional Staff Association, the Mayor of Belleville and his family, and of course Belleville's top photographer :)

Here are some pics of the food:

I've been enjoying left overs all week :)

It was a great night. I'm not sure in total how many people where here but it was nice to meet a few new faces in the city.

Newborn!!!

Welcome Marissa!

After my computer crash I had my laptop in the shop to recover whatever could be recovered. My memory is pretty much full right now as I was editing photos this morning and had to stop because my scratch disk is full. A little at a time I have been going through and deleting all these recovered files that I don't need as there are thousands and thousands of images. Most of them are really crazy colorful images which I have never seen before.

Here are a few:

Pretty, but not my images, lol!
