Lyn & Jason Married!

When Caitlin and I arrived for the girls getting ready photos the house was without hydro. It rained through the ceremony, family photos and finally cleared up when we arrived at the reception location so we were able to get some photos there as we took all the formal family photos under tents beforehand. It was awesome watching the guys work together in putting up tents just 30 min before this outdoor ceremony.

The reception of Lyn and Jason was beautiful. I had a lot of fun photographing the speeches. There was so much emotion! I've watched the slide show twice and can't help but to cry each time through the images of the speeches.

Hockey Season!

Some of you that follow my blog will know my son is a goalie. Over the last few years my son has been in private goalie lessons and attending The Art of Goaltending. The instructor Don Thompson is amazing and every single moms dream as he helps me out when it comes to buying gear as I continue to learn what will work best.

Hockey starts for my son again this Saturday. I do love hockey season!

Your Image Update

I've been a bit busy to blog as the weddings, engagements and studio is keeping my time limited for things like blogging. I won't be able to get everything I shot up on the blog but I'll try to post your session if you've asked...I have received a few emails about when the pics will be on the blog from brides, couples and families...I think it's awesome when I get these emails and I will make posts when you ask for them and from there it will be if I have the time.

Lauri & Jason

After being kicked out of Parkwood Estates we headed to a nearby park.
We did manage to sneak around a bit for some great images but after being asked to leave...ummm, maybe three times we did leave. We were unable to buy a permit on the day of but Lauri has changed that now after having a word with the Mayor of Oshawa. Permits can now be purchased in the gift shop on any day of a photo session.

The couple will be married this November in Toronto

The couple and I met for engagements pics (at my favorite time of day -- beautiful light) in Prince Edward County with the wedding just weeks away taking place in Belleville. Totally cute couple! I look forward to the wedding.

Just an update or two...

All studio sessions from August are complete and I'll be contacting everyone tomorrow if I haven't already done so that we may arrange the best way to get your disk to you. I do want to thank everyone for their patience in the delay with my move -- you are all so wonderful and I am very thankful for working with such awesome people in my business.

I'm all moved into the new studio but far from unpacked. The backdrop is up and I start shooting today -- yay! All my software is now working again which is probably the one of the most exciting things to happen this month, lol. Only because once everything goes down, it's pretty much the end of the world for a photographer as it slows everything right down.

I've moved both my residence and my studio to the Prince Edward County area. I wasn't sure of the move but I'm loving it here. My son is enjoying his new school and talks everyday of how excited he is being on the track team. The new school was my biggest concern and I am extremely happy everything is working out. I've signed him up for hockey in the area for the season so that's all set. Life is pretty good right now!

Brand NEW Boy!

We all know I LOVE babies! This newborn slept through most of our session and was totally sweet! I photographed mom and dad awhile back for their engagement photos as they won a free session form a past bridal show. It was so great seeing them again over a year later with a new addition to the family

Busy Times!

Just an update...I've been slow to blogging but busy shooting so I do have lots to share...when I get around to it.

Moving is taking a lot of my time lately as I am moving the studio and my house. The move takes place on Sunday. Friday and Saturday I am photographing weddings so this weekend is packed full and I'm sure if you try to get a hold of me it just isn't going to happen, but I'll return all phone calls and email on Tuesday. Monday is a holiday and I'm going to take it to unpack and get the studio organized.

The studio is moving to 320 Main Street Picton. I took this pic on my cell phone and had the sign imported as it's not up yet but will be early next month. I'm guessing it will take me about two weeks to organize the studio enough to open the doors so my plan is to be running the store front full time starting Sept 15th. However, with the amount of location shooting I do during the day I won't be there all the time.

I do want to thank everyone for their patience as my turn around time has slowed down by about two weeks this month. All engagement sessions are complete while I still work on this months weddings and studio sessions. Tuesday will be a full day of getting sessions out and I'll be in touch with everyone soon.

Also a big thanks to my friends and family helping me in the move! They know who they are :)

Married August 23rd the couple is currently on their Honeymoon!

The wedding was beautiful. It didn't rain...for once! The wedding party was great to work with and the parents were fantastic -- thanks everyone!

The wedding is being planned for next year! The couple and I got together last weekend to have some fun with engagement photos. They climbed trees, jumped on bridges, walked in water, sat on pointy hard objects, hiked up a big rock, laid in the grass, jumped from a ship and here are just a few images form our session :)

Sarah-Jane & Kevin

We actually took these photos yesterday with only days till the wedding as the wedding is this Saturday. Sarah-Jane and I sent to high school together and I photographed her last year in a bridal party of an August wedding. The couple has been together for 9 years and met in University. It's a interesting story. Kevin almost hit Sarah-Jane with his truck and while she was venting to friends later that day he walked into the room, didn't apologize but asked he to go mini-putting. She was still mad and said no but thought he was attractive and eventually it all worked out.
