Strawberry - Lemon - Blueberry - F/5.6

After school my son helped me take these photos between him trying to crack open a coconut, which he did succeed in, because in wanted to try coconut milk which he ended up not liking.

Here, I had him old the fruit in place to avoid it from floating around.

Awesome buble fruit!! I love both of the strawberry shots!! Love the color and the bubbles and how you placed them! Great job! It is messy I did it and my fruit floated also, my husband tried to poke the fruit down with a fork which really didn't help a whole lot! It is a lot harder than it looks!! You made it look easy!

Great bubble fruit! Love the color and clarity of these! I did this a few months ago, and it is definately not easy! My fruit did not float....it sank!! I had my husband help by holding the fruit in place.

Thanks everyone! It was fun of course trying to get a good shot. I took about 70 images and selected my fav four for here.

Chrisie, I tried to email you but I can't find your email off your website so here is how I did got the bubble fruit.

Yes, with the macro - it's a bit of an obsession for me right now :)

I filled a massive martini glass full of soda water and placed the fruit in. The strawberries really floated around so I had my son hod them in place. You can see in the fist pic there is movement on the leaves and that's because he was twisting the berry around a bit.

More bubbles form on the bottom of the fruit then the top so I shot from underneath laying on the grass with the martini glass on a tree stump. The blue backdrop in first two of the photos is the sky.

And, of course I played a lot in CS2 popping the colours and adding more definition to the bubbles.

I think that pretty much sums it up. Oh, and I used all natural light and my Canon 30D, 100mm macro, ISO 125, F5.6 and ss 125

Hope that helps! Give it a try :)

Wonderful images! I like looking at these type shots...but that's something that I've never tried. Maybe someday I'll feel the need to experiment...until then I'll just enjoy images like yours! :)
