My niece at 6 weeks

My sister planned on coming into the studio right from the hospital but with all the complications it took her six weeks before she was ready. So here are the latest pixs of my new niece.

November 24th 2007

Married in Cobourg, we started at the brides mothers house for some pre-wedding photos. We were lucky to have a snow that day that covered the ground for a lot of our outdoor photos.

As the wedding was before Christmas it was a Christmas themed wedding. I think they had five Christmas trees set up at the reception -- it was beautiful!

I went to high school with Eric and I always love when I meet up with old friends in the studio...with their new familis.
Ms. K is being held up-side-down for her biggest smile of the day :)

‘Tis the season for bridal shows

This weekend I’ll be at the Quinte Mall Belleville Friday-Sunday from open to close of the mall for their weekend bridal show. 300 gift bags will be given out while supplies last.

My display is located right in front of Children’s Place clothing store, close to the food court. This year my display consists of a double sided L shaped gallery and two tables filled with portfolio’s, framed images, and a slide show. I also have some gorgeous new business cards and post cards with special bridal show offers.

Awareness of Copyright -- My images stolen!

I think it’s important to bring awareness to photographers on copyright issues.

I recently had another photographer (Jaime) in Ontario steal five of my images and post them on her website as her own. She did not have my permission to do so. Jaime and I live in the same province and another photographer from our province recognized the images to be mine so she of course called to inform me of the issue.

I had a friend take screen captures (shown bleow) of Jaime’s website as soon as I was off the phone as I was in transit. When I got home I had the advice of many helpful photographers as how I should go about this issue. Just hours later I emailed her a letter and invoice for photography stock fees. She had taken my images down that night as well as many other images, her phone number and the information to the bridal show she is hosting (http://www.brockvilleareabridalshow.com/) this Saturday in Brockville. However, she did not reply to me. I then sent the same letter and invoice by registered mail and still she has not replied to me.

My images that were stolen by Jaime were not stamped with my logo as I took the images before I started stamping. I want to stress how important it is to other photographers that we stamp our work to avoid situations like this.

Here are the screen captures taken of Jaime’s website. Anyone that knows my work already knows those images to be mine as I posted them on my blog here in July of 2007.

The image from the article (shown below) in the paper is of me, holding the photo that I took of model Allana Raby on July 3, 2007. In the background on my lap top is one of the screen captures taken of Jaime's website with my image on her site.

I do work very hard as a business women and photographer to let Jaime think it is ok to steal my images and I will do nothing about it. She has been given 30 days to pay for the photography stock fees before I take legal action.

Mandy and Family

This would be the second time I photographed the family if we count the wedding. Mandy and Steve were just married in 2007 -- beautiful wedding as their photos are in several galleries on my website.

Mr. J

I've photographed Mr. J four times now. He is so photogenic and even on my website several times as I just love his pixs. His mom and I meet at a bridal show last year when he was just a newborn.

This was the first time I met Mr. J's dad.

5 weeks

Ms. D is just 5 weeks old and a pleasure to have back in the studio (now born) as her mother was in for maternity photos not to long ago.

My assistant Caitlin photoed the men while I photoed the ladies. It was a very cold, cold November wedding! (yes, I am very behind on blogging)

After the ceremony we took advantage of what sunlight we had left for some pixs of the couple as a 4pm cerempny in November does not allow for much light time.

The couple was great to photograph and I honestly don't even think you can see how cold it was looking at them

I heard someone behind me comment, "I wish my photographer had been this fun" while I was taking a series of fun pixs of the couple enjoying the moment

Romantic/beautiful was the goal of our photo session between the couple
