I made it out to another local photographers house for some family photos Love Nest Photography but Tara wasn't able to be there so I haven't had the pleasure of meeting her just yet. However, the rest of the family was there so we went on anyway by Tara's request.

images impact people
In photography I am creating on an ongoing basis. I love this part of my job. Every week, month, year, I get to create, literally thousands of images. In addition to that, I create images that impact peoples lives.
Recently, one of my clients past away. The sister of my client emailed me saying how beautiful it was to have photos of her sister and her family (husband and three kids) that we took earlier this year in studio. The family had enlarged prints from the studio to display at the funeral. She went on to say that everyone loved the images, they brought tears to some friends and family members, and that the family was thankful for the images, thankful that her sister thought to do this before passing.
After wiping away tears, I then started thinking how few images I have of my own family. And then I thought of the families I have photographed that come in for their first family portrait session ever, or the first portrait session in 10 years. And then I thought of my clients that come in yearly and some several times a year and wondered how I could let something so important to me be put off. I have never had a professional photo of my son and I. Isn't that unbelievable?!! My mother has been asking for a photograph of her grandchildren for over two years, and I haven't done it yet.
If you were to come to my house, you would never know I am a photographer because I only have three images canvased of my son and I snowboarding, a few framed images, and a lot of bare walls!
This year is coming to an end and I need to take care of this:
1. book a photographer to photograph my son and I
2. get my mother her image
3. fill my wall space
Anyone else out there not have a family portrait, get out there and photograph your families!!!

HOME LIFE:
- things have been busy and we are all caught up with studio sessions and getting location sessions out within the week
- we've mailed the first bunch of Cougar photos
- the studio is all unpacked now :)
- most of my blog readers know what's going on as we make changes in the studio. Our latest big change is the new Office Manager Christa. She has been taking care of the bookings, scheduling and editing studio work. She is fabulous! this is her:
HOME LIFE:
- Do you know what a water pik is? It's basically used for flossing and tonight my son decided to use his to wash his face.
- we have our rabbit back :)
PERSONAL:
- I lost my voice over the weekend and am still working on nursing my health back.
- I sometimes find it hard to believe that we are rolling into November! It's getting cold but this year seemed to go by so quickly

GOSSIP MONDAY
WORK LIFE:
- wow, it's been busy! I think I have photographed over 200 people in the last few days just in family sessions.
- the cougar photos are being picked up on Wednesday and sent out in the mail, probably both Thursday and Saturday
- I'm still waiting for the new backdrops to come in
- and the studio is looking soooo much better!
HOME LIFE:
- I think our bunny has been kidnapped! A kid came to the door, asked if we wanted our bunny back because he had him in his house, I of course said yes, and he said he would go back to get him and that was about five days ago!
- I'm having thanksgiving today at my moms. My sister makes me vegetarian stuffing! She is the greatest!
- I sat down on the couch on Friday, my son looks at me, looks at me, looks at me...I finally ask him what and he replies "You never sit down" lol
PERSONAL:
- non existent ;)
HAPPY THANKSGIVING!!!

This session took place on our first day of shooting since we finished with the renovations and we had four sessions to start us off.
This was the first time we had seen this adorable girl in the studio.
Here's our new pink chair in the studio.
